'50 Shades of Grey' Casting Officially Announced!

50 Shades fans rejoice! E.L James took to Twitter yesterday, revealing the actors who would be playing Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele, finally putting rumors to rest.  Sons of Anarchy and Pacific Rim star Charlie Hunnam will be acting along side 23-year-old Dakota Johnson from Fox’s recently canceled show, Ben & Kate, in the highly anticipated first installment of the 50 Shades of Grey trilogy set to release August 1, 2014.

Immediately after the release of Hunnam’s name, more rumors began to surface claiming that James initially wanted the highly coveted role of Christian Grey to go to the Twilight Saga’s Robert Pattinson after a summer house party; Pattinson hasn't made a comment, yet.

The movie’s producer, Dana Brunetti also took to Twitter addressing backlash in regards to the cast reminding both fans and critics alike just how much goes into casting, noting, “Keep that in mind while hating and keep perspective.”
