INTERVIEW: Alesso at Tomorrowland

INTERVIEW: Alesso at Tomorrowland

Listen to Alesso on iHeartRadio

Responsible for many dance floor anthems his fans know and love, Alesso continues to be a powerful presence in dance music. It's no surprise that his music, and love for what he does, brought him to the main stage at the biggest dance music festival in the world, Tomorrowland.

If there is one thing to be said about Alesso, it's that his fans adore him - one fan even painted "Alesso" on his chest in preparation for his set at the festival.

Alesso had some time after his Tomorrowland performance where he talks about playing the main stage, his track "If I lose Myself" vs. One Republic, playing in Ibiza at Axwell & Sebastian Ingrosso's "Departures" party, and more. Check it out below:

What do you think of Tomorrowland?

It’s just insane, it’s one of the best festivals in the whole world, no doubt and I’m just have a really great time here.

What was the best part of playing on the main stage?

The best part was….I wanna say everything. Everything from the start to the end. And I was so happy to see that everybody knew my records and they were singing along and just having a good time. So, everything was awesome.

What do you think Tomorroworld is gonna be like?

Hopefully the same! The Same kind of spirit that Tomorrowland had, so, yeah I think it’s gonna be very very good.

How has your summer been so far?

Very busy, I think I slept like two hours tonight because I flew straight from France and yeah, it’s just a very busy summer. I’m doing almost every Wednesday at the Ushuaia, a party called Departures with Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso.

How is Departures?

I love it, I love it, it’s the best place in Ibiza like period to party. You have to check it out if you go to Ibiza.

The last time we sat down in Miami, your track with OneRepublic had come out, and now it has blown up. How does it feel to see such a positive reaction?

Yeah, it’s…I don’t really know what to say. It just, it makes me so happy to see that people really appreciate the song, and they know all the words and just everything about it. I was working very hard with that record, trying to do everything with it, at the same time you know, get my sound in it. It took me over a month to finish that song so I’m just so happy about the result and the response and the reaction it brings.

If you had your own land, what would you name it?

Alessoland, no I’m just kidding. I have to think about that, something cool, something cool, but at the moment, Alessoland. Where everybody gets free drinks and just have a good time.
